Sr. Engineer, Software & Information Platform

Cardinal Health is a leading healthcare services and products company, and they are seeking a Senior Engineer for their Software & Information Platforms team. This role involves leading the design, development, and enhancement of core software and information platforms, ensuring stability and performance improvements, and collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability
• Ability to break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership

Requirements:

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs
• Hands-on experience in architecting and designing Business Intelligence platforms in GCP/AWS cloud
• Experience in connecting analytic applications to GCP data stores such as BigQuery
• Programming languages Python, Java, and frameworks- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST API development expertise is a plus
• Prior experience in GoAnywhere and Atscale
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Harness, Concourse, Jenkins is a plus
• Google Cloud Platform certification is a plus
