Brooksource is a company focused on user experience design, and they are seeking a User Experience Designer to gather insights and advocate for user-centered design principles. The role involves identifying UX issues, designing solutions, and contributing to high-quality outcomes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Has responsibility and capability to work a single primary platform
- Works with guidance or on routine issues/activities
- Follows procedures
- Gather insights and test concepts with users in order to inform design decisions
- Advocate for user-centered research and design principles
- Reuse templates, patterns and design standards to solve problems
- Identify UX issues in designs, products and services
- Assist with training for peers and clients
- Actively participates in ensuring high quality solution
- Contributes to the identification/prioritization of solution through analysis and discussions
- Designs solutions within a single channel
- Has base understanding of some bodies of technologies and expands that knowledgebase when necessary
- Maintains a working knowledge of data collection, research methods and metrics
- Maintains a working knowledge of statistics and measurement concepts
- Gathers data using appropriate methods
Requirements:
- Experience leveraging AI tools in the software development (or product) lifecycle in order to improve quality and efficiency
- Portfolio demonstrating expertise and skill in creating user centric experiences
- 3+ years' experience in user experience design, interaction design, user interface design, information architecture, content strategy, or similar roles
- 1+ years' experience incorporating user feedback in the design process (user research, NPS, focus groups, user data, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience working with and presenting to cross functional stakeholders such as Software Development, Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, etc
- Experience with the software development process
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as: Figma, Sketch, Miro and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Bachelor's Degree in human centered design, design, or related field
- Experience with Agile software development
- Experience using metrics and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) in order to identify improvements
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
