Milliman is a respected consultancy that develops data-driven SaaS products for insurance, health IT, and life sciences clients. The Product Manager will drive the strategy for the Curv® product portfolio, collaborating with sales, marketing, and Agile teams to enhance core products that deliver value to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of IntelliScript’s business, clients and market diversification strategy
- Drive new feature and new product development for Milliman’s Curv® suite of products focused on applying machine-learning and AI to estimate healthcare cost and evaluate morbidity and mortality risk
- Work closely with Agile team members, and be the final arbiter of requirements conflicts and/or questions surrounding priority and requirements
- Defines the acceptance criteria for all user stories
- Accept/reject the delivered code from within each sprint
- Responsible for the prioritization and development of ongoing bug fixes, technical enablers, and product enhancements, and creating and prioritizing user stories within the team backlog
- Serve as the Agile team’s single-point-of-contact on behalf of business stakeholders / users / customers
- Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders/users/customers
- Continually engages and communicates with business stakeholders / users / customers on forthcoming deliverables so that their feedback is incorporated as part of sprint planning
- Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders across the product lifecycle
- Negotiates priorities between competing stakeholder interests at the user story level and then collaborates with team to ensure that the highest value deliverables are completed within the sprint
- Translate feedback from clients via the Curv® sales and relationship management team to future product features
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience in one of the following industries: software, healthcare, insurance, clinical trials, or similar fields
- Experience working with Jira or other Agile Project Management tools
- Ability to focus development teams to ensure successful translation of requirements into high-quality product deliverables
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
- Strong sense of curiosity paired with open-minded, strategic thinking and a constructive, 'can-do' approach to solving problems and overcoming obstacles in support of stakeholder needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, ask the right questions, and clearly convey insights and results across all organizational levels
- Adept at ascertaining client needs, conducting an analysis, and presenting solutions
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility, influence internally, and adapt communication style for clinical, technical, and business audiences
- Have a strong eye toward quality and an acumen for peer review as part of the development process
