Supply Chain Summer Intern

Job Summary:

Interns are placed under the leadership of a Supply Chain Manager and are invited to learn about Toshiba`s products, processes, operations and culture through working alongside professionals on a variety of projects and are exposed to a Toshiba`s cutting-edge product lines and their real-world application.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform a Green Belt Project
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager(s) in procurement activities.
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager(s) in evaluating new supplier qualifications in delivery, quality and cost
• Assist with negotiation preparation and negotiation strategies
• Identify cost savings with current supply case or analyze potential for new supplier relationships
• Support the Supply Chain Managers) in sourcing activities, such as RFI's (Request for Information), and RFQ's (Request for Quotes) in engineering experience by providing detailed technology support to customers, distributors, agencies and Toshiba Sales.

Education Requirements:

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations Management

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Ability to work 40hrs per week at our office located in Northwest Houston, TX.
• Must be a team player and able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
• Able to demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Willing to work in a plant environment
• Knowledge of procurement processes
• Able to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results
