Summary
This full-time (12-month contract) position involves supporting the Operations team to meet & exceed contractual obligations. Along with inspections and performing maintenance operations in both Summer & Winter months, Emergency Response, Asset Management and associated Inspections/Report writing are key aspects of this position.

As a Coordinator, You Will:
- Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants.
- Respond to emergency situations such as spills, accidents, incidents, inclement weather or implementations of the emergency plan
- Perform maintenance inspections for various highway assets and enter data to Asset Management Software(s)
- Develop and update Maintenance Reports & Operational Plans
- Assist with organizing Fleet Repairs and Preventative Maintenance scheduling
- Maintain and review documentation - Hours of service, Fuel records, Incident reports, Time sheets, Diaries, Logs etc.
- Develop orientation programs for new staff and coordinate training existing staff members
- Respond to calls dispatched from MTO with a sense of urgency, complete incident investigation along with patrol staff.
- Provide traffic control at the accident scene, including set up and take down of OTM book 7 traffic closures
- Make repairs to the highway (including but not limited to pothole repairs, installing signs, grass cutting, guide rail repairs etc.)
What You’ll Bring:
- Highway maintenance, winter patrol and emergency response experience with knowledge of OTM Book 7 are strong assets
- Contract compliance knowledge and report writing skills
- Experience with data entry and tracking trends with Asset Management software(s)
- Knowledge of typical fleet maintenance requirements and organizational skills to coordinate preventative maintenance and repair schedules.
- Must have efficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT, etc.
- Excellent team player, proven ability to work productively in a highly functional team
- Flexibility and organizational skills to multi task and manage time in a fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Willingness to work assigned day, night and weekend shifts with rotating on-call requirements in extreme weather conditions
- Minimum G license
- Ability to perform manual labour and lift between 50 – 70 pounds

$28.50-29.50/hr
