About the Role
As a Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor to designated business portfolios, translating organisational strategy into practical workforce, leadership and culture outcomes.
This is not a transactional HR role. You will work closely with senior leaders to strengthen workforce capability, drive performance accountability and proactively manage people risk, while embedding the organisation’s People & Culture strategy across teams.
You will partner with Executive and People Leaders to ensure people practices directly support organisational sustainability, performance and cultural alignment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Partnering with leaders to develop workforce plans, succession strategies and organisation design solutions aligned to strategic priorities.
• Coaching leaders to strengthen performance management, accountability and employee experience outcomes.
• Leading employee relations and workplace risk matters within your portfolio.
• Translating engagement and workforce data into actionable insights and measurable improvement plans.
• Driving implementation of enterprise People & Culture initiatives including performance, engagement and DE&I programs.
This is a maximum term full-time position based in East Melbourne, with responsibility across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
About You
We are seeking a commercially minded HR professional who operates confidently at senior leadership level and has experience in non-profit member-based environments.
You will bring:
• Experience operating as a strategic HR Business Partner.
• Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to align workforce decisions to organisational strategy.
• Demonstrated capability managing complex employee relations and workplace risk matters with sound judgement.
• Confidence coaching and constructively challenging leaders to lift performance and accountability.
• Experience interpreting workforce metrics and using data to influence decision making.
• Ability to lead projects and drive change across diverse stakeholder groups.
• High personal credibility, integrity and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
