The Field Engineer will be responsible for assisting with all accounts within the Wind MCE business unit, developing new business and partnerships, and ensuring accurate and consistent messaging across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Required to supervise field work onsite focusing on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency
- Support lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250’
- Required to coach/conduct team members on rigging applications/inspections
- Coach/conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems
- Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment
- Coach/train personnel on how to perform proper isolation of electrical components (LOTO)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers
- Will be required to have the ability to recognize MAJOR faults and develop corrective actions with engineering team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 YEARS direct product experience on one or more platforms
- Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers
- Proficient in using dial calipers, fluke meters, and all other tools used on WTG
- Experience with SCADA and other monitoring tools for WTG
- Attention to detail and safety focused
- Travel up to 75% of the time
- English communication proficiency is required to understand and convey safety procedures and documentation
