PayOnward is a cloud-native digital payments platform that enables credit unions and community-based financial institutions to compete in modern commercial and consumer payments. They are seeking an experienced sales leader to originate and close new business with credit unions and community banks across the US, while also building structure and discipline around pipeline development and revenue forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and closing new credit union and community bank clients
- Building and managing a qualified pipeline through direct outreach and industry relationships
- Running discovery with executive stakeholders
- Presenting solutions via calls, demos, webinars, and in-person meetings
- Owning deals from first conversation through contract execution
- Traveling to conferences, events, and client meetings as needed
- Collaborating with management, product, engineering, and operations teams
- Establishing and maintaining structured pipeline management
- Delivering weekly and monthly sales reports to leadership
- Maintaining accurate forecasts and revenue projections
- Building scalable sales processes and reporting discipline
- Maintaining accurate CRM data and opportunity tracking
Requirements:
- Direct experience selling into credit unions and community banks is required for this role
- Direct experience selling payments or fintech solutions into credit unions or community banks is required
- Existing executive-level relationships within CUs and community banks
- Proven success as a hunter responsible for new logo acquisition
- Experience selling bill pay, payments, AR/AP, or related SMB or FI-related SaaS platforms
- Comfortable selling to C-suite and senior leadership
- Experience leading pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
- Background in fintech, payments, or core banking-adjacent technology
- Startup or growth-stage experience preferred
