DCM Services is an industry-leading provider of estate and specialty account resolution services. The Business Analyst role involves data analysis, reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure data integrity and support various internal teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze client data files using robust account reconciliation methods to identify discrepancies, trends, and anomalies
- Troubleshoot data irregularities and develop solutions to improve accuracy and data integrity
- Support, troubleshoot, and improve file exchange processes (EDI, automated/manual transfers)
- Evaluate impacts of file configurations on system performance and client deliverables
- Work with internal teams (Operations, Accounting, Compliance, IT/EDI, PMO) to resolve data mapping issues, support audits, and implement process improvements
- Partner with external clients to ensure smooth onboarding, conversions, and issue resolution
- Participate in daily task rotation, ticket assignments, and exception reporting
- Support team members during peak workload periods
- Maintain thorough documentation for EDI processes, BA procedures, and client file transfer protocols
- Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Adhere to all data security and privacy requirements, including those outlined in internal policies and client-specific guidelines
- Perform additional assignments as needed to support business goals and evolving priorities
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of business operations, accounting principles, financial concepts, and reconciliation processes
- Ability to identify process optimization opportunities and support audit/compliance activities
- Experience with data reconciliation and file transfer processes
- Knowledge of EDI systems, data mapping, SQL, process automation, and data visualization tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or similar roles
- Ability to work at a desk/computer for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving and research skills
- Effective professional communication with clients and stakeholders
- Proficient computer and documentation skills
