APPLIED Adhesives is an industry leader in adhesive solutions, dedicated to solving complex challenges with innovative products. They are seeking a Manager, Business Development to lead a team of Business Development Representatives, focusing on pipeline growth and collaboration with sales leadership to improve conversion rates.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives to achieve monthly/quarterly opportunity goals
- Set clear activity and performance expectations (calls, emails, meetings set, conversation rates, etc.)
- Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, call coaching, lead/pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations
- Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategy in alignment with sales, marketing and company growth initiatives
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Account Management to ensure strong lead flow and handoff processes
- Track and report key metrics related to activity, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution
- Identify gaps and implement improvements to workflows, messaging, tools, and processes
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new BDRs
- Maintain a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, growth, and results
- Ensure accurate CRM usage and data hygiene across the BDR team
- Support and adhere to all safety procedures and complete all required safety training
- Identify and support improvement opportunities for processes in order to support company objectives and customer expectations
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree required
- 7–10 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in Sales Management required
- Experience managing a team of 5+ Business Development Representatives required
- Demonstrated success in business development, outbound sales, or pipeline generation within a B2B environment required
- Strong coaching skills with a proven track record of developing talent and improving team performance required
- Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce) and sales engagement tools required
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management abilities required
- Skilled at analyzing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities and drive improvements required
- Experience in industrial sales strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EOS methodology highly preferred
