The Global Business Development Manager – Pharmaceuticals is responsible for accelerating sales growth through market activation plans and leading global lead-generation efforts within the pharmaceutical sector.
Responsibilities:
- Accelerate execution of global market activation plans, including new product launches and recovery plans for all products within the pharmaceutical market
- Translate strategy into actionable commercial initiatives that drive measurable sales growth across regions
- Identify and prioritize high-value pharmaceutical segments, applications, and customers aligned with Aurorium’s growth strategy
- Own execution of lead-generation efforts for pharmaceutical market activation plans
- Build, qualify, and maintain a robust pipeline of pharmaceutical opportunities
- Support, coach, and lead penetration of strategic leads to ensure successful conversion to revenue for the global pharma business
- Leverage market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to uncover new business opportunities
- Act as a key integrator across Sales, Marketing, and Innovation to bring new ideas to market and accelerate Aurorium’s pharmaceutical growth
- Collaborate closely with Marketing on value propositions, messaging, campaigns, and launch readiness
- Partner with Innovation and technical teams to guide development priorities based on customer and market needs
- Ensure clear, consistent communication and alignment across regions and functions
- Coach and enable the global sales organization on how to sell effectively into the pharmaceutical market
- Elevate the credibility of Aurorium and its sales teams with pharmaceutical customers through subject-matter expertise and professional engagement
- Support key customer meetings, strategic negotiations, and complex opportunities as a pharmaceutical business leader
- Share best practices, tools, and insights to continuously improve sales effectiveness in pharma
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key global pharmaceutical customers and partners
- Support strategic account planning, territory planning, and execution for priority global and regional accounts
- Represent Aurorium as a trusted partner within the pharmaceutical industry
- Track and report progress against market activation plans, pipeline development, and sales growth objectives
- Use CRM tools to ensure visibility, rigor, and alignment of global pharmaceutical opportunities
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with applicable pharmaceutical regulations, quality standards, and Aurorium policies
- Actively support and model Aurorium’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Responsible Care® commitments

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Significant experience in business development, sales leadership, or commercial roles within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Demonstrated success driving global or multi-regional growth initiatives
- Experience leading product launches, market development, and recovery plans
- Proven ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, customer decision processes, and regulatory environment
- Proven lead-generation, opportunity-development, and deal-shaping capabilities
- Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically
- High credibility with pharmaceutical customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong coaching, influencing, and communication skills
- Results-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy
- Willingness to travel globally as required
