Senior Project Engineer

Renewyx is a high-growth Independent Power Producer (IPP) specializing in distributed generation and community solar. They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer who will have full technical oversight of the due diligence and design review process, focusing on high-level engineering strategy and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities:

• Full technical oversight of the due diligence and design review process
• Validate third-party work and energy models
• Focus on high-level engineering strategy and risk mitigation
• Ensure assets are built to perform for decades

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of dedicated professional experience within the solar energy industry
• A proven technical background working on both rooftop and ground mount solar installations
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a strong preference for Electrical Engineering
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with a significant preference for a Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Specific experience managing or reviewing projects in the 1MW - 10MW distributed generation or community solar range
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and PvSyst for the purpose of validating third-party engineering and energy production models
• A demonstrated ability to work with total autonomy in a self-driven environment that requires no hand-holding
• Extensive experience in technical due diligence and the comprehensive review of engineering design packages
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with external engineering partners and internal stakeholders
