XPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, and they are seeking a Vice President of Business Development for Truck Body and Trailer Sales. The role involves leading the introduction and expansion of the product line, identifying new market opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the introduction and expansion of our truck body and trailer sales product line
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and key accounts
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders
- Drive revenue growth through consultative selling and solution-based approaches
- Oversee dealer engagement, onboarding, and performance optimization
- Advise leadership on market trends, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
- Provide input on marketing collateral, branding, and promotional campaigns
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
- Travel to customer sites and our manufacturing facility as needed. (50+%)
Requirements:
- 15+ years in truck body and/or sales with a proven track record of success
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale a business line from inception
- Strong strategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication, negotiation and time management skills
- Ability to work remotely or from a company office; willingness to travel extensively (50+%)
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, work or military experience
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Master's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Deeply rooted industry connections and relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and CRM platforms
