Axiom Global Technologies is seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Engineer / Collaboration Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Teams Phone and enterprise collaboration solutions. This role involves designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Teams-based communication platforms to enhance collaboration and improve user experience across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and support Microsoft Teams collaboration solutions across enterprise environments
- Implement and manage Microsoft Teams Phone, including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Auto Attendants, Call Queues, and PSTN integration
- Configure and support Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and telephony infrastructure
- Provide guidance on Teams core capabilities, including chat, channels, meetings, file sharing, and collaboration workflows
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) across conference room environments
- Support Android and Windows-based Teams Rooms deployments
- Ensure optimal device configuration, performance, and user experience
- Conduct network readiness assessments for Microsoft Teams voice and video workloads
- Troubleshoot call quality and connectivity issues using dashboards, telemetry, and diagnostic tools
- Work with networking teams to ensure proper firewall configuration, QoS, and media flow optimization
- Collaborate with customers to understand business communication requirements and design scalable Teams-based solutions
- Deliver technical workshops, demonstrations, and training sessions on Teams Phone, Teams Rooms, and collaboration best practices
- Assist customers with Microsoft 365 licensing, configuration, and customization related to Teams services
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures
- Create reusable deployment templates and best practice frameworks for internal and customer use
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles such as Unified Communications, IT Consulting, or Systems Architecture
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Phone, including Direct Routing, SBCs, and enterprise telephony infrastructure
- Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of network requirements for Teams media traffic, including firewalls, IP routing, and QoS
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams collaboration features, including chat, channels, meetings, and administration
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 services and collaboration platforms
- Experience troubleshooting Teams devices, call quality, and voice connectivity issues
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate
- Certification through the Microsoft Teams Device Certification Program for Teams Rooms devices
