They are seeking a highly experienced Global Head of Manufacturing Engineering to lead and scale their Manufacturing Engineering vertical across global markets, managing P&L and driving customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the global strategy for the Manufacturing Engineering vertical
- Identify market expansion opportunities across India, EU, and USA
- Drive innovation in manufacturing processes, digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, automation, and lean transformation
- Align vertical objectives with overall company growth and profitability goals
- Own and manage full profit and loss accountability for the vertical
- Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization
- Build and manage annual budgets, forecasting, and financial performance tracking
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with international customers
- Lead commercial discussions including proposals, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations
- Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership development
- Lead large, cross-functional, and geographically distributed teams
- Ensure high-quality project delivery, on-time execution, and operational efficiency
- Establish best practices in manufacturing engineering processes and delivery frameworks
- Drive performance metrics, utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide subject matter expertise in: Manufacturing process engineering, Tooling & fixture design, Production line setup & optimization, Automation & robotics, Lean manufacturing & Six Sigma, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, Cost reduction and value engineering
- Build, mentor, and retain high-performing global teams
- Strengthen leadership bench strength within the vertical
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer excellence
- Domestic and international travel is required to support customers and global teams
Requirements:
- Master's degree+ in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 15–20 years of experience in one or more of the following industries (mandatory): Heavy engineering, Earth moving equipment, Automotive, Industrial equipment
- Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a global matrix organization
- High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness
- Proven experience managing large, multi-location engineering teams
- Significant international customer interaction experience
- Demonstrated P&L or revenue responsibility
- Strong executive presence and leadership maturity
- Deep expertise in Manufacturing Process Engineering
- Production line design, setup, balancing, and optimization
- Tooling & fixture design and validation
- Lean Manufacturing implementation (Kaizen, VSM, 5S, TPM)
- Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred or equivalent hands-on experience)
- APQP, PPAP, FMEA methodologies
- Root Cause Analysis (8D, Fishbone, 5 Why)
- Cost reduction / Value Engineering initiatives
- CAPEX planning and manufacturing feasibility studies
- Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) to full-scale production
- Knowledge of global manufacturing standards and compliance
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar)
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Working knowledge of CAD tools (Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, etc.)
- Advanced Excel & data-driven decision making
- KPI dashboards and performance analytics
- Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory implementation experience
- Digital manufacturing simulation tools (Process Simulate, Tecnomatix, Delmia)
- Robotics & automation integration (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.)
- Industrial IoT initiatives
- Additive manufacturing exposure
- Experience with CFD / FEA collaboration in manufacturing readiness
- Advanced data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python exposure)
- Experience leading global manufacturing transfers
- ESG / sustainable manufacturing initiatives
