Evidence In Motion (EIM) is seeking a Manager for Video & Photo Production to oversee the end-to-end production function for their visual content efforts. This role involves managing production strategy, workflows, timelines, and the execution of high-quality video and photography projects across the EIM brand and its university partners.
Responsibilities:
- Own the video and photo production function across marketing initiatives, campaigns, launches, and events
- Serve as the primary production lead responsible for delivery quality, timelines, and execution standards
- Translate creative direction and marketing objectives into executable production plans
- Act as the escalation point for production risks, resourcing challenges, and on-site decision-making
- Drive production strategy that supports creative scalability, partner satisfaction, and business priorities
- Manages and optimizes timelines across a portfolio of simultaneous video and photo shoots, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and resource constraints
- Manage end-to-end production projects from intake through final delivery
- Lead pre-production planning including timelines, budgets, scopes, shot lists, locations, and logistics
- Coordinate schedules across internal teams, partners, talent, and external resources when applicable
- Ensure projects remain on track, within scope, and aligned to creative and business goals
- Proactively assess production feasibility, tradeoffs, and resourcing needs during campaign and launch planning
- Develop production briefs and requirements in partnership with the Creative Lead and marketing teams
- Oversee coordination of locations, equipment, talent, and travel logistics
- Serve as on-site production lead for priority shoots, ensuring alignment with plan and creative intent
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and make execution decisions in fast-paced environments
- Represent the Creative Services team as the senior production authority in the field
- Partner closely with the Video & Photo Editor to ensure smooth transition from production to post-production
- Collaborate with designers, writers, program marketing, and communications teams to ensure content supports campaign needs
- Coordinate with video/photo producers or contractors as needed to scale production capacity
- Act as the production subject-matter expert within Creative Services
- Embed production leadership within cross-functional creative pods supporting major program launches and campaigns
- Establish and maintain repeatable production workflows, templates, and best practices
- Define production standards, documentation, and expectations for quality and consistency
- Track production timelines and delivery metrics to improve predictability and efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and resourcing models
- Champion continuous improvement across Creative Services production operations
- Travel regularly to manage on-location shoots, partner visits, and events
- Represent Creative Services professionally with university partners, faculty, executives, and stakeholders
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality production experience across locations and teams
- Serve as a trusted production partner to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in video and photo production, creative operations, or production management
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder production projects
- Strong production planning, logistics, and on-site execution expertise
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects across different stages of production simultaneously
- Working knowledge of production workflows, equipment, and creative tools (hands-on editing not required)
- Comfort operating autonomously with clear accountability for outcomes
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly
- Experience operating in fast-paced, multi-brand or agency-style environments strongly preferred
- Experience supporting higher education, healthcare, or academic programs, particularly lab, clinical, or instructional environments
- Familiarity with multi-partner or agency production models
- Experience managing external vendors, freelancers, and production agencies
- Budget ownership and vendor negotiation experience
- Knowledge of union or non-union talent, releases, and usage rights
- Experience scaling production functions or building new creative operations
- Working knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
