Project Director – Healthcare Market Research Operations

Albion Rye Associates is a growing healthcare and pharmaceutical market research consultancy seeking a Project Director to lead operational delivery across complex research programs. This senior leadership role focuses on ensuring that research projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards while optimizing project delivery and supporting high-performing research teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery and performance of research operations projects across the organization
• Drive project governance, quality standards, and operational best practices across research teams
• Ensure projects are delivered to scope, on schedule, and within budget through strong oversight and performance tracking
• Manage resource planning and allocation across the project portfolio
• Oversee project costing and pricing recommendations while ensuring accurate budget tracking and margin protection
• Maintain centralized project and proposal data, enabling transparent operational reporting
• Coach and support Senior Project Managers and Project Managers on complex research methodologies, sample design, and escalations
• Partner with Consulting, Finance, HR, and IT teams to ensure smooth project execution and operational alignment
• Ensure compliance with data protection, IT security, and regulatory requirements across research operations
• Support internal audits, operational improvements, and continuous process optimization

Requirements:

• Experience leading complex healthcare or pharmaceutical market research projects
• Strong background in project governance, operational leadership, and delivery management
• Experience building and implementing SOPs, quality control systems, and operational frameworks
• Proven ability to manage project cost models, budgets, and commercial performance
• Experience overseeing vendor relationships, procurement, and external partners
• Strong knowledge of data protection, compliance frameworks, and research quality standards
• Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and operational reporting
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and project portfolios
