AGS - American Gaming Systems is seeking an Operations Applications Engineer responsible for designing and managing the organization's Power Apps environment. This role focuses on optimizing service operations through scalable applications and automated workflows, working closely with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and service performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Model‑driven Apps on Microsoft Dataverse for Field Service
- Implement role‑based access, security roles, and environment‑level governance (e.g., DLP policies, solution management)
- Manage ALM for Power Platform (Dev/Test/Prod), including solution exports/imports, connection references, environment variables, and versioning
- Build flows to automate Field Service processes (work order lifecycle, technician notifications, SLA tracking)
- Integrate with internal/external systems (ERP, EAM, HRIS, ITSM, legacy SQL/REST APIs, SharePoint, Outlook/Teams)
- Build semantic models (tabular) and govern datasets, refresh schedules, and row‑level security
- Partner with finance/ops to ensure metric definitions are consistent across the business
- Establish best practices for DLP, connectors, and scalable automation patterns
- Act as environment admin: manage performance, connectors, and security roles
- Maintain Center of Excellence (CoE) artifacts, monitoring, and compliance (audit logs, maker enablement)
- Provide support, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root‑cause analysis
- Train users based on their role within the environment; create job aids and in‑app guidance
- Collecting and organizing information from various internal systems that could offer data to assist with efficiency within the department
- Collaborate with IT security, networking, and enterprise architecture to ensure compliance and reliability
- Identify issues through data and assist with solutions by consulting with senior management
- Provides detailed reports by collecting and analyzing data as defined by leadership team
- Updating service map with technician addresses and casino locations along with creating a system to ensure assets are updated for each of those casinos on the map
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree or applicable experience in lieu of degree preferred
- Must be at least 21 years' old
- 1–3+ years building Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑driven) with Microsoft Dataverse
- Strong Power Automate expertise (cloud flows, approvals, integration patterns, governance)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Advanced Power BI skills (DAX, data modeling, RLS, incremental refresh, deployment pipelines)
- Proficiency with Solution‑aware ALM, environment variables, connection references, and managed solutions
- SQL fundamentals; ability to work with REST APIs, webhooks, and connectors
