EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, through its subsidiary Vanbridge, bridges the gap between insurance and capital markets, providing clients with comprehensive risk management strategies. The SVP of Business Development and Advisory for Life & Executive Benefits will drive new business and manage existing client relationships, focusing on innovative insurance solutions and financial planning strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment promote insurance and executive benefit sales with advisors within RIAs, CPA firms, family offices, BD’s, P&C, Benefits and other specialties
- Collaborate with the Specialists and Practice Leaders to promote the integration of insurance solutions into client's holistic planning
- Provide support to the firms and their professionals, including but not limited to: point of sale and/or direct client advisory, “Zoom” meetings with advisors, clients, their legal and/or tax advisors
- Working with internal teams during the design process
- Research and analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize and interpret data
- Stresses critical thinking and logic when problem-solving; can think creatively and "out of the box"
- Organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Incrementally grow book of business, account, etc. to reflect a strategic business plan
- Maintain proactive sales relationships with advisors through ongoing profiling, constant relationship-building, and refining and refreshing base
- Remain contemporary on relevant industry, legislative and tax-related issues
Requirements:
- 5+ years within the executive benefits, insurance and financial services industry
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment, with minimal supervision
- Self-driven and independent worker with a sense of urgency and drive towards results
- Life, Annuity and Health Insurance licensing required
- Experience with multi-life life and disability program design
- Experience in direct client facing roles, comfortable collaborating with outside professional advisors such as CPAs, financial advisors, employee benefits and property, casualty producers, and attorneys
- Experience with corporate owned life insurance (COLI) program design
- An understanding of advanced and business planning concepts
- Skill in use of Microsoft Office and CRM applications
- Understanding of current market issues and trends as it relates to the insurance/financial industry and tax-related ramifications

- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
- FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 preferred, minimum series 6, 63
