KATANA Safety™ is a leading SaaS personal safety solution provider committed to delivering innovative and effective products/services. They are seeking an experienced part-time Business Development Representative (BDR) to help drive new business within several verticals that deploy lone workers, focusing on lead generation, prospecting, and collaboration with sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and create prospect lists for companies throughout the United States
- Qualification of Leads: Use a consultative approach to qualify prospects, ensuring alignment with their operations and our offerings
- Outreach: Initiate outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to build relationships with prospects and drive engagement
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on opportunities across states that create incentives for companies to adopt lone worker safety solutions
- CRM Management: Accurately track and manage all activities, interactions, and pipeline progress in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with Account Executives and other members of the sales team to schedule meetings, set appointments, and support the closing process
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on lead generation activity, pipeline status, and key insights to senior management
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a BDR or in a similar sales development role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), email marketing tools, and other sales development technologies
- Strong ability to research and identify new opportunities and generate meaningful and actionable prospect lists
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales development targets, working in a high-performance, quota-driven environment
- Ability to address challenges in the sales process and provide creative solutions to improve prospect-generating efficiency
- Ability to quickly learn and implement lessons as opportunities are discovered
