PMO Partners, LLC is a mission-driven organization focused on delivering impactful programs and services. The IT Project Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the phases and activities for the implementation and support of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of multiple, concurrent IT projects, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to scope and budget. Projects may include system implementations, software rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades
- Drive collaboration and foster a high-performing team environment
- Proactively anticipate and resolve conflicts, using project management expertise and creativity to restructure workflows for better teamwork, communication, and efficiency
- Be a trusted leader, building strong relationships across all levels, internal cross-functional teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment, engagement, and successful project execution
- Lead all phases of the project lifecycle – from planning and initiation through execution, monitoring, and closure
- Define project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, detailed tasks, and resource requirements
- Manage user expectations and collaborate across the enterprise
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring deliverables meet technical specifications and contractual obligations
- Leverage strong problem-solving, influencing, and decision-making skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
- Design and execute comprehensive communication strategies and structured change management plans for new system rollouts, ensuring alignment across executive sponsors, stakeholders, and end users
- Drive user adoption through thoughtful stakeholder engagement, targeted communications, training coordination, and feedback-driven adjustments to enable a smooth transition with minimal disruption
- Drive resolution of major issues and manage project interdependencies
- Ensure all decisions and outcomes are well-documented
- Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders at all levels, serving as the primary contact for user groups and IT management
- Assemble and coordinate resources, schedules, task assignments, and project plans. Monitor resource utilization and forecast resource needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement by providing input on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices within the Project Management Office (PMO)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of in-house project management experience leading system implementations, software deployments, and process rollouts across cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to manage organizational change adoption through effective communication planning, stakeholder engagement, and training enablement strategies
- Strong ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Human-centric leadership style with strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder awareness
- Trusted leader with excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple departments
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and guide workstream leaders through planning and execution
- Experience working with Executive stakeholders (CIO, VP)
- Proactive in conflict resolution – able to sense misalignment and resolve issues before they escalate
- Expertise in leading project meetings effectively (core team meetings, retrospectives, stakeholder meetings)
- Demonstrated professional judgment and sound decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to clearly convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven, with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in change management methodologies and adoption frameworks
- Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and escalation handling
- Ability to manage resources effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools, including Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- PMP certification a plus
