ID Logistics is a dynamic logistics company experiencing significant growth and customer expansion. The Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of new operational activities, ensuring seamless coordination from project initiation to ongoing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Successfully implement projects by coordinating internal teams, sub-project leaders, local support departments (IT, HR, etc.), IDL group resources, external suppliers, and local authorities
- Kick-Off Management: Organize, prepare, and lead internal and external Kick-Off meetings at the start of each project
- Project Coordination: Manage project dynamics through weekly internal reviews, progress meetings with customers, and updates with key suppliers, landlords, or general contractors as needed
- Tool Deployment: Utilize and maintain standard IDL project management tools (Smartsheet, Teams SharePoint, weekly decks, action lists, meeting minutes)
- Documentation: Create new project forms and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle
- Planning & Milestones: Define detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
- CAPEX Preparation: Collaborate with R&D to prepare CAPEX files and manage related documentation
- Procurement: Oversee sourcing of equipment and supplies, including obtaining quotes and processing purchase orders
- Hiring Coordination: Work with Operations and HR to develop hiring plans and maintain hiring trackers
- Budget Tracking: Monitor CAPEX and start-up budgets to ensure financial compliance
- Layout Design: Support the development of warehouse and office layouts
- Equipment Tracking: Deploy tools to track equipment orders and deliveries
- Risk Assessment: Coordinate preparation of GO LIVE risk assessments
- Operational Support: Aid operational teams during project execution
- Project Closure: Complete project closing activities, including documenting lessons learned and updating the lessons learned database
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and work experience required
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with warehousing and transportation operations
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operational processes and workflows
- Solid grasp of project dynamics and implementation processes
- Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System) logic, including processes and data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer literacy
- A valid real ID driver's license or passport for business travel
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
