Locus Technologies is a global leader in cloud-based Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) software, serving over 30,000 sites worldwide. They are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support sales efforts by blending technical expertise with consultative sales, helping customers understand how Locus’ platform can enhance their compliance and sustainability programs.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Account Executives to scope, position, and close new business
- Conduct tailored product demos and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Translate customer goals into smart, scalable solutions using Locus’ no-code platform
- Design pilot architectures and guide prospects through evaluations and trials
- Provide technical responses to RFPs/RFIs and assist in proposal development
- Offer post-demo support including pilot configuration, training, and proof-of-value alignment
- Continuously improve our sales collateral, demo environments, and messaging
Requirements:
- Strong technical foundation and curiosity—ability to learn complex SaaS solutions quickly
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in SaaS, environmental compliance, sustainability, or ESG software is a strong plus
- Ability to uncover and articulate customer pain points, and match them with Locus solutions
- Collaborative mindset—you thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional team
- 2–5 years of experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or solutions consulting role
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or environmental discipline preferred
- Familiarity with environmental compliance
- Strong desire to work in software technology sales
- Minimum 1-2 years of business experience (Software Sales a plus)
- Conduct software demonstrations and presentations that range from standard to custom in a variety of industry segment
- Implement entire suite of our products in proof of concept scenarios and production applications
- Support prospects through their evaluation process, providing training and support assistance
- Deliver training and workshops as necessary to attract new clients and grow existing clients
- Understanding the customer's technical and business environment and requirements
- Working to identify creative ways that our product can solve business problems
- Self-motivated individuals who are comfortable and responsible in a position that grants autonomy
- Comfortable presenting complex technical topics to business and technical audiences in an Enterprise Software environment
- Understanding of carbon accounting, Climate change strategy, CSR Reporting, and GHG inventory strategy
