Technical Business Development Manager – SMART (Non-Automotive)

Innoviz Technologies is a global leader in advanced LiDAR and perception solutions, selected by top automotive and industry brands to enable safer, smarter autonomous vehicles across the world. The Product Management and Marketing teams are responsible for executing the company's business prospects and maintaining close interaction with customers and all company departments.

We are looking for a Technical Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of SMART - our high-performance LiDAR platform for all non-automotive sectors, including Defense, ITS, and industrial applications. This is a foundational, "hands-on" role for a builder who thrives at the intersection of developer relations, technical support, and business development. You will be responsible for building an international developer ecosystem from the ground up, ensuring that integrators and partners have the tools, code, and support they need to succeed with Innoviz technology.

Responsibilities

• Community Architecture: Design and build a global developer community from scratch, establishing the strategy and infrastructure for long-term engagement.
• Ecosystem Management: Own and moderate our developer platforms, including GitHub (code samples/APIs), Discord (real-time community), Discourse (technical forum), and GitBook/Docusaurus (documentation and knowledge base).
• Technical Support & Integration: Provide first-line technical guidance to developers, assisting with LiDAR integrations and troubleshooting complex technical hurdles.
• "Light" Technical Sales: Act as the primary point of contact for smaller customers and partners; identify "high-potential" opportunities within the community to escalate for further business development.
• Content Creation: Collaborate with Marketing to produce high-quality technical content, including webinars, tutorials, API documentation, and technical blog posts.
• Events & Advocacy: Organize and lead technical meetups, developer workshops, and webinars to drive adoption of the SMART platform.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends in the non-automotive sensor and autonomous systems sectors.

Requirements

• BSc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field - Must
• At least 3 years in SW development - Must
• At least 3 years in Business Development and/or developer relations - Must
• Experience building programs or communities from the ground up in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Must
• Hands-on experience with hardware platforms, embedded systems and multi-layer technology ecosystems - Must
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a talent for making complex technology accessible - Must
• Practical experience managing GitHub, Discord, and documentation frameworks (GitBook, Docusaurus, or similar) - Must

Advantages

• Experience with ROS2 (Robot Operating System)
• Knowledge of Point Cloud Processing Frameworks (e.g., PCL or Open3D)
• Familiarity with C++ and Python
