Position Overview:
Boeing Defense India team is currently looking for Senior Program Manager-Chinook to join their team in New Delhi, India and support the CH47 (Chinook) Sustainment Programs for the Defence customers in India. The Senior Program Manager plans, integrates and leads a stand‑alone profit & loss program or major business/program elements. This leader implements Program Management best practices to ensure performance to plan and provides technical, cost and schedule oversight across the program lifecycle.
The role establishes and communicates objectives, drives timely resolution of issues, develops organizational plans and acquires resources to meet program commitments. This position manages employees and mid‑level managers responsible for program and business management activities and provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Position Overview:
Own P&L performance for a major program or program element; plan, integrate and lead all program activities to achieve business objectives.
Implement and enforce Program Management best practices, standards and processes to maintain predictable technical, cost and schedule performance.
Provide executive leadership and day‑to‑day oversight of program technical, cost and schedule performance, including corrective actions and mitigation plans.
Establish clear objectives, goals and performance metrics; communicate status, risks, issues and actions to stakeholders.
Drive rapid resolution of issues, and escalate when appropriate.
Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures to support program delivery.
Acquire, allocate and manage resources (people, budgets, suppliers) to meet program needs.
Provide technical management of suppliers and partners, and lead process improvement initiatives.
Hire, develop, mentor and motivate employees and mid‑level managers; set expectations and perform performance management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.
Approve technical approaches, deliverables and processes to ensure alignment with program and corporate goals.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree is required as basic qualification.
Proven experience leading large, complex programs with P&L accountability.
Demonstrated experience managing multi‑discipline teams, including mid‑level managers and external suppliers.
Demonstrated success in integrating technical, cost and schedule disciplines to deliver program outcomes.
Strong communication skills and experience briefing senior leadership and external stakeholders.
A minimum of 15 years total experience with at least 5 years of work experience related to Government / defense programs or services.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Post Graduate Degree in Business, Certification in Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent is preferred.
Deep knowledge of Program Management best practices and frameworks.
Proficient in schedule management principles and tools; proven ability to maintain robust schedule baselines and recovery plans.
Strong risk, issues and opportunity management capabilities, including ability to validate and guide mitigation/realization plans.
Systems thinking: ability to understand cross‑functional impacts and drive integrated solutions.
Organizational development experience: change management, organization design and effectiveness.
Digital literacy: ability to initiate and lead technology‑enabled process improvements.
Global perspective: experience working in or supporting international/global programs and awareness of global business trends.
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and application of earned value techniques will be a bonus.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 21 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 20 years' related work experience.
