Sabel Systems is a defense technology company focused on digital engineering and lifecycle management for the warfighter. They are seeking a Solutions Engineer to support their Air Force digital engineering portfolio by leading technical discovery, shaping solutions, and translating mission needs into scalable product capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical side of Sabel’s business development for Air Force accounts, from early customer discovery and needs analysis through proposal strategy and delivery preparation
- Lead pre-sales solutioning by developing demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and technical narratives that differentiate Sabel’s solutions
- Conduct market and competitive analysis across the defense digital engineering landscape and translate findings into actionable capture strategies
- Partner with Business Development to qualify opportunities and develop win strategies grounded in technical differentiation and mission alignment
- Deliver executive briefings and technical presentations to government stakeholders, from engineers to senior acquisition leaders
- Translate customer mission needs into functional product requirements, architectural roadmaps, and reusable solution frameworks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in solution engineering, solution architecture, technical business development, or systems engineering in the defense or aerospace sector
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing technical roles such as pre-sales engineering, proposal development, technical capture, or solution demonstrations
- Working knowledge of DoD digital engineering concepts including MBSE, digital thread, digital twin, and open-architecture principles
- Ability to translate mission needs into solution architectures and product requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to both engineers and senior stakeholders
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
