Microsoft is seeking a Project Manager (Contract) to join their Business Planning team focused on creating profit growth through monetization strategies. This remote role involves coordinating across multiple stakeholders to support product and service launches, ensuring seamless execution of commerce changes.
Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing pricing discussions using existing frameworks, including requirements gathering, data validation, pricing verification, and driving alignment across teams
- Manage launch operational processes including Control Tower card updates, Change Requests, pre-production ICM creation and updates, Change Summary validations, and exception processes
- Provide project management support to key stakeholders such as Software Engineers for meter minting processes and reporting
- Facilitate meeting coordination for cross-functional stakeholder meetings, leadership reviews, and team syncs
- Attend launch-related meetings as a liaison, relaying important updates and advocating for resource prioritization
- Monitor and update Project Trackers to identify needed signoffs and reviews on behalf of business planners
- Coordinate topics for regular standing reviews with executive leadership
- Follow new developments, share best practices, and support coordination of strategic team initiatives
- Support onboarding of new team members by connecting them to critical resources and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance throughout the launch process and maintain accurate documentation across all project management tools
- Create and manage meters that track product and services usage
- Provide general project management support across five distinct work streams with varying levels of intensity
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of overall professional experience
- 4-6 years of experience with product launches
- 4-6 years of experience with project management software and tools
- 4 years of experience working in the technology industry
- 4-8 years of project management experience
- Experience working with external vendors
- Background in software or technology industry, preferably with large enterprise technology companies
- PMI Certification required
- US Citizenship required due to direct work with the US Federal Government
