Okta is The World’s Identity Company, focused on providing secure access and authentication solutions. The Staff Product Marketing Manager will lead the thought leadership strategy, transforming data and research into impactful narratives that align with the company's strategic priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Define the program strategy: Evolve our thought leadership program by identifying and developing new, data-driven research initiatives that align with Okta's strategic priorities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of our flagship reports: : Lead the entire process from initial data analysis in close partnership with the data team, to narrative development, global GTM activation and impact measurement
- Shape and align Okta’s POV : Partner with executives and stakeholders across Data, Product, Product Marketing, Security and Professional Services to shape a credible narrative that reflects key company initiatives and is grounded in research and product truth
- Drive cross-functional activation: Collaborate with Creative, Brand, Global Campaigns, Programs, PR/Comms, and regional marketing to package insights into multi-format experiences and scalable toolkits, plus derivative content (blogs, webinars, sales collateral) that fuel awareness, demand, and enablement
- Resonate with multiple audiences: Ensure initiatives connect with both leadership audiences in IT, Security, Product, and Engineering and practitioners (developers, architects, security operators), showing the full business and technical value of identity solutions
- Monitor industry and competitive trends: Track news, research, and competitive narratives to ensure Okta’s thought leadership is timely, differentiated, and part of the broader market conversation
- Measure and optimize impact : Define KPIs, track performance with analytics partners, and clearly communicate results back to stakeholders to continuously improve how insights programs drive brand leadership, engagement, and pipeline
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience turning complex data into strategic narratives in a role such as product marketing, UX research, content strategy, or market insights
- Proven ability to develop and communicate a strategic point of view that influences executives and external audiences
- Exceptional storytelling and messaging skills, with experience shaping data-driven narratives for both executive and technical practitioner audiences
- Experience collaborating across global and industry-focused teams to tailor messaging for regions and verticals
- Ability to work with creative partners or agencies to deliver insights-driven content that is both credible and engaging
- Proven ability to own and drive a portfolio of complex, cross-functional initiatives (like annual reports or research series) from strategic concept to launch
- Ability to leverage reports and dashboards within platforms such as Tableau and Salesforce to explore data, synthesize insights, and inform narrative development
