Position SummaryThe Sales Team Lead drives revenue by managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of Inside
Sales Representatives to exceed targets, often while maintaining their own sales quota. They
bridge the gap between staff and management, focusing on daily operations, coaching, pipeline
management, and the implementation of strategic sales plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Set individual and team sales quotas, monitor KPIs, and generate regular performance reports.
- Mentor and coach team members by providing ongoing feedback, conducting training sessions, and supporting deal strategy and closings.
- Translate high-level sales strategies into clear, actionable plans that drive revenue growth.
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including CRM data management and pipeline accuracy.
- Respond to questions from sales staff and guide processes, products, and best practices.
- Monitor sales performance and proactively address gaps or challenges.
- Prepare sales reports and complete required administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage escalated customer service issues to ensure prompt and professional resolution.
- Support sales management initiatives and cross-functional collaboration as needed.
- Actively sell products and assist team members with negotiations and closing opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of sales experience, with prior leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify trends.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
