Job SummaryEastern Communications is looking for a driven and analytical Summer Intern to join our Strategy & Operations team. In this role, you will be embedded within our Operations team and play a meaningful part in advancing our mission to deliver best-in-class critical communications infrastructure. This is not a passive internship — you will contribute to real initiatives, engage directly with operational leaders, and help shape the systems and strategies that keep our network performing at its highest level.This opportunity is ideal for a recent college graduate who is eager to apply strategic thinking, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Synthesize operational data into clear, concise executive summaries and strategic briefs for senior leadership
Support the development of frameworks and tools to evaluate operational performance against industry benchmarks
Assist in building business cases for process improvements and strategic investments, particularly in onboarding AI tools
Partner with the Operations team to identify inefficiencies in current workflows and recommend data‑driven Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist in designing scalable operational processes

Track and report on key operational metrics, including network reliability, response times, and service delivery performance
Support cross‑functional initiatives aimed at improving coordination between field operations, engineering, and customer‑facing teams
Assist in planning and tracking high‑priority operational projects, including maintaining project timelines and status updates
Prepare materials for internal reviews, team meetings, and stakeholder presentations
Coordinate logistics and follow‑up actions across multiple teams to keep initiatives on track
Draft internal communications, reports, and presentations that clearly articulate strategy and operational updates
Support the preparation of materials for leadership reviews and all‑hands updates
Engage with stakeholders across departments to gather input and ensure alignment on operational priorities
Role Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (recently completed or in-progress) in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to connect data to strategic narrative
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing competing priorities
Preferred Requirements:
Leadership experience demonstrating initiative and professional maturity
Genuine interest in telecommunications, public safety communications, or critical infrastructure
