Midwest Communications, Inc. is one of the most dominant radio and digital media groups in the Midwest, seeking a Product (UI/UX) Designer. The role involves creating and designing page layouts and graphics with a focus on branding and user experience for MWC media websites, collaborating with various teams to ensure website and branding success.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the brand marketing manager, graphic designer, front-end web developer, brand managers, general sales managers and staff of all stations to ensure the success and popularity of their branding and website needs
- Answer inquiries and requests concerning websites and branding from users within the company
- Work with Market Managers and station marketing teams in launching new station pages, promotions, contests, and websites
- Use codes to fulfill basic webpage needs
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, co-workers, employees and upper management
- In-depth knowledge of podcasting platform to set up new podcasts
- Work with Digital Platforms for contesting, and other promotional tools to make an interactive experience between our stations and their listener
- Read, analyze and interpret materials relating to web design and digital platforms
- Stay abreast of any industry-wide changes in design philosophy and any new tools and technologies being used for web design and digital media
Requirements:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment; demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and have effective communication skills with a diverse range of individuals
- Have knowledge of website platforms to optimize station websites and apps
- Have working knowledge of computers, software, and the internet
- Be able to effectively present information through visual media
- Be able to define and solve problems
