ATCC is a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager to enhance customer engagement and drive revenue growth through virtual channels. The role involves managing client relationships, supporting sales initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions for the scientific community.
Responsibilities:
- Virtual Sales & Customer Engagement: Manages inbound and outbound sales activities via phone, email, and online platforms; serves as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring satisfaction and retention
- Account Development: Develops new accounts and business opportunities, generates referrals, and expands relationships with existing clients to achieve sales targets
- Solution Delivery & Support: Coordinates with internal teams to deliver products and services, provides recommendations based on customer needs, manages custom solution proposals, and supports post sales engagement
- Sales Operations: Executes sales strategies, qualifies leads, maintains accurate CRM records, generates sales reports, and identifies opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring high service standards
- Product Knowledge: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of ATCC’s products and services to provide timely, accurate information to clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience or equivalent experience
- Prior life science experience or degree in biology or related field highly preferred for success and understanding of ATCC product
- Prior experience qualifying leads, managing CRM data and developing customer relationships in a life science environment is ideal
- Proven success in virtual sales, account management, or customer service
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and virtual communication tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve organizational goals
