Infrastructure Operations Engineer/ Remote

Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Operations Engineer to manage, maintain, and support IT infrastructure systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The role involves monitoring infrastructure environments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting day-to-day IT operations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization platforms
• Provide day-to-day operational support for infrastructure systems and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and performance issues
• Manage system backups, patching, and upgrades to ensure stability and security
• Support incident management, problem management, and change management processes
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure improvements
• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or system administration
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, backup solutions, and infrastructure management
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management tools
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with automation tools or scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, or AWS/Azure certifications
