Sentinel Blue is a values-driven Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) committed to safeguarding clients within the defense industrial base. They are seeking a strategic Content Marketing Manager to develop compelling narratives around cybersecurity and compliance, translating complex topics into engaging content for the GovCon community.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with marketing leadership and collaborate across teams to ensure content consistently reinforces Sentinel Blue’s brand and position as a trusted advisor, helping defense contractors strengthen cybersecurity maturity and navigate compliance with confidence
- Research developments across the CMMC ecosystem, DoD cybersecurity policy, and the broader GovCon cybersecurity landscape, identifying opportunities for Sentinel Blue to contribute timely and authoritative insights
- Develop and publish thought leadership content that strengthens Sentinel Blue’s voice within the Defense Industrial Base, translating complex cybersecurity and compliance topics into clear, engaging insights
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, assessors, engineers, and leadership across the organization to transform technical expertise into compelling narratives and educational content that drive curiosity and deeper understanding
- Coordinate and manage webinar logistics, including scheduling, speaker preparation, platform setup, and supporting content, while assisting with executive thought leadership initiatives such as podcasts and industry discussions through research and content development
- Create content across multiple formats, including written articles, podcasts, short-form video, and other digital formats
- Support and contribute to Sentinel Blue’s social media presence, adapting content for platforms such as LinkedIn to amplify thought leadership and engage the Defense Industrial Base community
- Contribute to editorial calendars and content planning, ensuring consistent publication aligned with Sentinel Blue’s strategic priorities and supporting marketing campaigns, events, and go-to-market initiatives
- Support multimedia initiatives by researching platforms, coordinating recording logistics, and managing technical setup, ensuring podcast, webinar, or video content is ready for recording, light editing, and distribution
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of our work with the Defense Industrial Base
- 3+ years of content marketing experience, preferably in cybersecurity, government contracting, or technology sectors
- Knowledge of CMMC 2.0, DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, and related cybersecurity frameworks, particularly as they apply to organizations within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and those responsible for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Proven ability to write clear, credible, and authoritative content, including thought leadership articles, educational resources, and industry commentary related to cybersecurity, compliance, or regulatory frameworks
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to track developments in DoD cybersecurity policy, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements, translating them into meaningful insights for defense contractors
- Experience creating content across multiple formats, including written articles, social media, webinars, podcasts, and short-form video
- Comfortable supporting multimedia initiatives by researching platforms, coordinating recording logistics, and managing technical setup to ensure podcast, webinar, or video content is ready for recording, light editing, and distribution
- Strong collaboration skills when working with subject matter experts, technical teams, and marketing stakeholders to translate complex expertise into high-quality thought leadership
- Strong organizational and editorial planning skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple content initiatives, deadlines, and publication schedules
- Experience producing content focused on CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, or cybersecurity compliance
- Experience supporting thought leadership initiatives, such as webinars, podcasts, or executive commentary
- Familiarity with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, or analytics tools used to publish and measure digital content performance
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies such as SEO, content distribution, or audience engagement
