Senior Project Manager

Safal Partners is seeking a senior-level Project Manager to lead a large, high-visibility Texas education project. The Project Manager will ensure successful project delivery, build strong client relationships, and contribute to business development and organizational leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full projects or portfolios, ensuring successful execution across all workstreams
• Develop strategic project approaches, methodologies, and frameworks
• Oversee all major deliverables and ensure alignment with client goals and organizational standards
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the project, including event planning, overseeing project activities, coordinating team members, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, critical milestones and key deliverables
• Serve as the primary client relationship manager
• Lead high-level presentations, briefings, and strategic discussions
• Identify opportunities for expanded support and long-term partnerships
• Supervise and mentor Managers, Associates, and Analysts
• Provide performance feedback and support professional development
• Contribute to internal initiatives, process improvements, and organizational strategy
• Lead proposal development, including technical strategy, pricing input, and partnership coordination
• Develop thought leadership, represent the organization externally, and support brand visibility
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Oversee project budgets, staffing, and resource planning
• Manage project risks and ensure compliance with organizational policies
• Support leadership in forecasting, planning, and operational decision-making

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management, education, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant project management experience; experience in education or government projects preferred
• PMP certification is required
• Advanced proficiency with Smartsheet required
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets
• Knowledge of education policies, regulations, and state or federal program requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
• Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder groups
• Experience leading federal or Texas state‑funded education initiatives
• Experience managing large teams, multi‑partner projects, or complex cross‑functional workstreams
