Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland. The Department
Alfred Health Support Services provides non-clinical support services across Alfred Health, these services include cleaning services, car parking and fleet management, waste management, gardens and grounds, distribution, security and access control, ward support, linen services, ancillary services, food services and hospitality.
The Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Cleaning Operations Leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Support Services function. Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, you will play a critical role in setting direction, driving performance, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, compliant cleaning services across the organisation.
This role extends beyond day-to-day supervision and focuses on workforce leadership, operational excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement. You will lead, mentor, and develop cleaning leaders and frontline teams, ensuring standards not only meet but exceed industry best practice and the Department of Health Cleaning Standards for Public Hospitals.
As a senior leader, you will partner closely with Support Services Coordinators and other stakeholders to build a high-performing, safe, multi-skilled workforce. You will contribute to strategic planning, performance reporting, and the implementation of initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and staff engagement.
This position is ideal for a proven leader with extensive cleaning or facilities services experience (typically 5+ years at a leadership level) who is ready to operate with greater autonomy and influence, and to contribute meaningfully to organisational outcomes and patient safety.
