
Job Description – Business Analyst / Web Journey Analyst (Digital Banking Onboarding)
Screening Criteria The candidate should be able to independently own and sign off bank web journey enhancements from design to production.Core Responsibilities
Planning & Analysis
Conduct feasibility studies for new web journey features.
Identify technical gaps and risks before development begins.
Requirement Gathering (BRD/FRD)
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and developers by translating regulatory and business requirements into technical specifications .
Design & Documentation
Prepare Requirement Documents (RD) defining the happy path and exception flows .
Finalize development and technical specifications in an Understanding Document , which will act as the reference for enhancement development.
Review artifacts shared by vendor teams and provide feedback.
Effort Estimation
Support the BSG team in reviewing effort estimations provided by vendors and provide feedback if estimations appear inaccurate.
SIT / UAT
Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) for enhancements.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and track defect resolution.
API & Integration Troubleshooting
Support and troubleshoot API integrations used in digital onboarding, including identity verification, OCR-based document processing, and biometric services .
Web Journey Optimization
Work with vendor teams to optimize user-facing features and ensure performance and usability across devices .
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure onboarding workflows comply with local regulations and guidelines such as RBI regulations, AML, and data privacy standards .
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with product managers, developers, BSG, and operations teams to implement platform enhancements and improvements.
Production & UAT Deployment
Participate in deployment of enhancements in UAT and production environments using manual deployment or Ansible .
Production Support & Incident Management
Act as the Level 3 escalation point for production issues related to digital onboarding web journeys .
Resolve complex issues that cannot be handled by L1/L2 support teams .
Technical Skills Required
Application Logs & Monitoring: Experience analyzing logs using Kibana, Grafana, or Splunk .
Web Technologies: Basic understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and React.js for troubleshooting front-end issues.
API Management: Hands-on experience with APIs, JSON, and PostgreSQL for managing integrations across banking systems.
Tools: Experience using Jira or ServiceNow for ticket management and Salesforce for reporting.
Database: Exposure to query analyzers and query optimization for analysis .
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field .
Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in FinTech or Banking operations , specifically in digital onboarding .
Certifications: Familiarity with Agile methodologies or project management frameworks such as Scrum .
