Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Development: Spend 50% of your time in the codebase, delivering production-ready features and participating in the full development lifecycle within your scrum team
- Technical Stewardship: Drive architectural excellence and code quality by performing peer reviews and solving complex technical challenges alongside your team
- People Management: Own the end-to-end experience for your direct reports, including hiring, onboarding, and career development
- Performance Coaching: Lead regular 1:1s and performance reviews, providing mentorship and actionable feedback to help your engineers grow
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate regularly with the Senior Director and Principal Engineer to provide technical insights that shape the R&D roadmap and vision
- Roadmap Execution: Translate high-level product goals into actionable engineering milestones, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
- Culture Advocacy: Foster a collaborative and creative team environment that encourages innovation, open brainstorming, and problem-solving

- Comfortable navigating the ambiguity of a dual-track role, successfully managing shifting priorities and evolving organizational needs while keeping your team focused

- Deep appreciation for (or experience with) refining Scrum processes, helping the team find the perfect balance between velocity and code quality
