About this role
Catworkx is a leading Atlassian Platinum Partner with over 25 years of experience in agile transformation and IT automation. They are seeking a BigPicture Engineer to configure, deploy, and optimize BigPicture for enterprise clients, enhancing their portfolio management capabilities within the Atlassian ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design and configure BigPicture products tailored to client organizational structures and portfolio hierarchies
- Build and deploy custom automations to streamline portfolio management workflows
- Create comprehensive reporting dashboards that provide executive visibility into program health, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives
- Integrate BigPicture with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and other Atlassian tools to ensure seamless data flow
- Lead BigPicture rollouts across multiple programs, departments, and business units within enterprise organizations
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with organizational objectives and existing processes
- Develop and execute phased implementation plans that minimize disruption and maximize adoption
- Execute comprehensive functional testing of BigPicture configurations before production deployment
- Validate automation rules, reporting accuracy, and data integrity across integrated systems
- Conduct user acceptance testing sessions with client stakeholders
- Document test results and remediate identified issues
- Deliver user onboarding sessions for portfolio managers, program managers, and executives
- Create role-based training materials and quick reference guides
- Provide post-implementation solution tuning based on user feedback and evolving requirements
- Monitor solution performance and recommend optimization opportunities
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with BigPicture for Portfolio Management
- Strong proficiency in Jira Software and Jira Work Management configuration
- Deep understanding of portfolio management concepts including program hierarchies, roadmaps, resource management, and dependency tracking
- Experience creating and customizing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Working knowledge of JQL (Jira Query Language) for advanced filtering and automation
- Familiarity with Atlassian automation tools (Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner)
- Proven track record implementing portfolio management solutions in enterprise environments
- Experience supporting multi-department or multi-program rollouts
- Background in agile methodologies (SAFe, LeSS, or other scaled frameworks preferred)
- Consulting experience with the ability to work independently and manage client relationships
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication abilities with both technical and executive audiences
- Detail-oriented approach to configuration and testing
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to solution quality
- Atlassian certifications (ACP-120, ACP-620, or equivalent)
- BigPicture certification or advanced training
- Experience with PPM methodologies and tools beyond Atlassian ecosystem
- Knowledge of Agile at Scale frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, DAD)
- Scripting or API integration experience
