Philips is a health technology company dedicated to providing quality healthcare access for everyone. They are seeking a Technical Consultant / Performance Engineer to support the implementation and performance of radiology imaging solutions, ensuring hardware environments are configured and operate as designed, while troubleshooting issues and validating system integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical escalation point during system implementations, supporting performance, hardware validation, and resolution of complex issues before customer go-live
- Partner with internal teams and third-party integrators to ensure servers, storage, networking, and racks are built, cabled, and configured precisely to Philips specifications
- Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues at the component level (for example: transceivers, fiber cabling, power distribution units, memory, and storage) to ensure system reliability
- Validate large, complex radiology solution designs from a hardware and infrastructure perspective, ensuring readiness across data center environments
- Travel to customer data centers as needed to inspect delivered systems, confirm installation quality, and support final technical readiness prior to handoff
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare information technology or a related technical field, ideally supporting system implementations, deployments, or escalations for radiology, cardiology, or clinical imaging systems in a customer-facing role
- Enterprise infrastructure expertise (networking, virtualization, server hardware, Windows domains)
- System performance analysis and monitoring (for example, SolarWinds)
- Hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and data center components (servers, fiber cabling, transceivers, power distribution units, and storage such as Dell EMC Isilon or Unity)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Ability to travel up to 40% while working remotely from a U.S. home office
- Ability to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
- Knowledge of DICOM
