Levels is a performance-driven consumer brand focused on high-quality sports nutrition products. The Director of Performance Marketing & Ad Creative will own the paid media performance and ad creative strategy, leading channels like Meta and Google while ensuring creative output meets performance goals.
Responsibilities:
- Own paid acquisition performance across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms
- Be accountable for CAC, MER, contribution margin, and incremental growth
- Set channel strategy, budgets, testing roadmaps, and scaling plans
- Continuously pressure-test channel mix and spend allocation based on performance and incrementality
- Own ad creative strategy across all paid channels
- Define creative frameworks, testing methodologies, and learning agendas
- Partner closely with Creative to concept, brief, produce, and iterate ad creative at high velocity
- Ensure creative output balances brand integrity with performance outcomes
- Build and run a rigorous creative testing engine across formats, hooks, messaging, and creators
- Translate performance data into clear creative direction and briefs
- Kill underperforming creative quickly and scale winners decisively
- Partner with Marketing Analytics to interpret performance data and guide decisions
- Use incrementality, blended metrics, and cohort analysis to evaluate success
- Avoid over-reliance on platform-reported ROAS
- Lead internal performance marketers and creative partners
- Manage agency and freelancer relationships as needed
- Set high standards for speed, clarity, and accountability
Requirements:
- 8–12 years of direct performance marketing experience, with ownership of paid media outcomes
- 4+ years operating at a Director level (or equivalent) owning acquisition strategy and results
- 4+ years of experience within consumer goods, operating in digital-first or omni-channel environments
- Hands-on experience managing seven-figure monthly paid media budgets
- Proven track record of scaling acquisition profitably
- Deep expertise across Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok
- Strong understanding of what drives ad creative performance in modern platforms
- Experience working closely with creative teams on performance-driven creative
- Familiarity with influencer and creator-driven ad strategies
- Experience in sports nutrition, supplements, food & beverage, or wellness
- Experience supporting retail-aware or omni-channel growth strategies
- Familiarity with subscription or replenishment-based consumer models
