Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. The Opportunity
This role will be responsible for driving execution and strategy for the Deposit savings product offering (Savings, Money Market, and Trust/Fiduciary). Responsibilities include maturing the product offering and driving alignment amongst resources (pricing, marketing, technology, contact center, and operations) to deliver on business goals. The ideal candidate must be able to coordinate a cross-functional team through idea generation, product definition, development, product launch, and ongoing product management to ensure successful execution against the business strategy. Success in this role places a premium on relationship building and ability to collaboratively develop solutions.
Critical to this role is an understanding of the deposits business, and ability to synthesize disparate concepts, information, and data to form opinions that will help shape the business. This individual will need to understand customer segments, consumer behaviors, product economics, and features/capabilities as well as the broader competitive landscape to inform tactics and strategies.
The ideal candidate should understand product specifics for Savings, Money Market, and Trusts/Fiduciary deposit products including deposit operations, servicing, fraud, and market dynamics. Also necessary is working knowledge of key risk management practices, risk frameworks, and legal and compliance requirements appropriate for deposit savings products. This role will support new product and program development and integration with the Consumer Banking product suite, encompassing savings product tools and features.
In office role - Ally work locations are Charlotte NC, Fort Washington PA, Jacksonville FL, Lewisville TX Hybrid weekly work schedule 3 days in office and 2 from home
The Work Itself
- Ownership of strategy definition, value proposition, product profitability, and end-to-end customer experience for the Ally Bank Deposits savings products
- Generate recommendations for new product ideas, revenue opportunities, and business improvements leveraging competitive analysis, consumer research, and innovation
- Ensure growth of product portfolios and quality customer engagement via cross-sell, relationship deepening, and retention strategies
- Lead programs and full product lifecycle through all stages including ideation, business case and financial analysis to secure funding, business and technical requirement definition, and managing implementation
- Work across partner teams (pricing, marketing, operations, contact center, digital, finance, legal, compliance, risk) to ensure consistency and alignment with strategic direction
- Partner with pricing, analytics, and finance to understand customer models and optimal strategies for business growth
- Review monthly business performance to assess trends and opportunities, and develop a forward-looking outlook (NIE, revenue, balances, customer growth)
- Ownership for first line risk, compliance, regulatory and legal aspects of deposit savings products, serving as business SME for any relevant policies and procedures
- Work closely with vendors to manage performance, SLA's, contract dynamics, and overall relationship
The Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in financial services required
- 3+ years in product management, project management or marketing experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent background preferred
- Experience in Customer-centric focused product management, creating premium customer experiences based on customer and associate feedback and behavior trends
- Proven ability to work well with banking operations, servicing, and digital/tech
- Ability to manage all aspects of a complex partnership with third-party vendors
- Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and its product implications
- Financial planning and quantitative skills with experience in P&L management preferred
- Strong analytical skills with experience of working directly with analytics, finance, and pricing teams to identify trends, solve problems, and develop cost benefit analyses
- Prior success demonstrating leadership skills across all levels - up, down, and across
- Ability to work at a very detailed level, as well as synthesize and present key action items and insights to unlock value
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills with proficiency in MS office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Vizio)

Base Pay Range: $90000 - $150000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
