The Associate Project Manager will oversee project planning and implementation, ensuring effective communication and management of client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Send weekly statuses, meet with client project managers weekly and host/document monthly stakeholder calls
- Work through all client escalations directly assigned to you
- Work with Implementation Managers to gather status updates and update combined project plans
- Develop strong working relationships with clients as they move through complex multiple-product implementations that can last for several months
- Provide guidance to the client and escalate concerns to management when necessary
- Manage project plans to meet implementation time-frames and budget directives
- Create compelling messages around priorities to keep clients and team members focused on achieving implementation goals
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to solve problems
- Manage client meetings effectively and efficiently, engaging multiple stakeholders
- Work with Implementation department leaders to evolve and improve implementation processes, as appropriate
Requirements:
- 1-2 years project management experience required
- Excellent project management skills with exposure to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Proactive, self-starter mentality with excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Project, Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience managing JIRA boards and Confluence libraries
- Possible travel up to 10%
- BA/BS degree in Business or Finance or equivalent experience
- Software implementation or similar experience
- Knowledge of the financial services / insurance / securities compliance industry's concepts, practices and procedures
