Satoriq is building an AI-powered healthcare operations platform focused on automating medical coding and revenue cycle management workflows for orthopedic practices. They are seeking a VP of Engineering to lead and scale the technical organization, guiding the engineering function and expanding platform capabilities as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small but growing engineering organization across application development, infrastructure, integrations, and technical operations
- Serve as a player-coach who can guide engineering direction while remaining close enough to the work to influence architecture and execution
- Partner closely with founders and product leadership to shape technical roadmap and organizational priorities
- Build and improve system architecture to support product scalability, reliability, and future growth
- Oversee development of additional EHR integrations and help expand interoperability capabilities
- Support and improve infrastructure related to security, HIPAA compliance, and SOC 2 readiness
- Help define engineering best practices, team structure, and development processes appropriate for a fast-moving startup
- Evaluate current technical gaps and identify where new hires, systems, or process improvements are needed
- Support development of additional healthcare automation workflows across revenue cycle management, documentation, reauthorizations, and related areas
- Create clarity and accountability across engineering while helping the team move quickly and iterate with customers
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful technical leadership responsibility
- Experience leading engineering teams in startup or growth-stage environments
- Strong hands-on background in software architecture, full-stack systems, backend development, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to operate as both an engineering leader and an individual contributor when needed
- Experience building products in environments with evolving requirements, fast iteration, and limited structure
- Strong judgment around technical tradeoffs, system design, and execution priorities
- Ability to work cross-functionally with founders, product leaders, and external development partners
- High ownership mindset with a bias toward action and practical problem solving
- Clear communicator who can lead teams while remaining credible at a technical level
- Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare integrations, or operationally complex regulated environments
- Exposure to EHR integrations, HIPAA, SOC 2, or other security and compliance-heavy systems
- Experience building engineering teams from early stage through growth
- Background in AI-enabled products, automation systems, or workflow software
- Experience working with globally distributed teams or external development partners
