SingleStore is a cloud-native database company seeking motivated Business Development Representatives to join their Sales Development team. The role involves generating a qualified sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and collaborating with Account Executives on account strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Generate a qualified sales pipeline for SingleStore targeted accounts ($100M - 1BN in annual revenue)
- Actively prospect using phone, email, and social media; 50:50 split between outbound and inbound
- Partner with up to 4 Account Executives on account plans and prospecting strategies
- Identify key account stakeholders to generate opportunities for SingleStore
- Maintain open communication and alignment with Account Executives and management
- Quickly gain a strong understanding of the SingleStore value proposition and the database industry landscape (prior data experience is a plus)
- Consistently achieve/exceed the monthly quota of qualified opportunities and meaningful interactions with new prospects
Requirements:
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to become an expert on database management systems (DBMS) within your first 90 days
- Proven track record of running high-volume outbound cadences via phone, email, and social media
- Proven track record of achieving measurable lead and pipeline goals
- Required to be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays for pipeline generation days with the team and overall training
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- An exceptional written and spoken communicator
- Hungry for a career in sales or other areas of enterprise software
- Comfortable reaching out cold to executive-level and technical prospects
- Highly organized & autonomous
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
- An ability to partner with and support co-workers and customers across time zones
- Eligibility to work for a US-based employer
- Hybrid Role - Required to work from one of our West Coast offices (preference for San Francisco or Sunnyvale) at least 2 days a week
- 1+ years of SDR (Inbound), or BDR experience in the software industry preferred
- Formal sales training is a plus
- Prior data experience is a plus
