Mercy Home for Children is hiring for a Residential Coordinator to oversee two residential programs working with individuals with developmental disabilities. We are shining a spotlight on this key position. If you have checked off on the following credentials:
- BA/BS required in Human Services or related field
- Demonstrated leadership experience working with union & non union staff
- Minimum 2-3 years experience working with adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities
- Previous OPWDD managerial experience is preferred; however we are willing to train in this area
- Experience with audits, enhancing physical plant & handling financial ledgers
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite & Therap programs

Requirements
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal government regulations and oversee implementation of individualized programming for persons we serve.
- Create a work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and appreciation, which will contribute to higher staff morale and lower turnover.
- Ensure the health and safety of all residents and staff by overseeing that Agency & regulatory safety protocols, as per OPWDD is being followed
- Follow appropriate procedures for emergency and incident management and reporting.
- Collaborate with Assistant Manager, Human Resources and Program Directors to hire all staff in the residence in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels for all shifts, orient & train new staff and ensure that new staff attends Agency Orientation within the first 6 months of employment, as prescribed in Agency Policies and Procedures.
- Provide ongoing observation, training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff in the residence, in conjunction with the Assistant Manager, Household Manager and Agency Administrators as needed.
- Conduct regular staff meetings & clinical team meetings to ensure continuity of care and open communication.
- Maintain residents’ personal expenditure plans, bank accounts, and personal allowance ledgers, as well as review petty cash transactions, order food & supplies in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- In collaboration with the Director of Facilities and Transportation, ensure that the physical plant is maintained according to state and agency standards.
- Be on call 24 hours a day, flexibility is needed for off hour emergencies.
