Pond & Company is seeking a Corrosion Engineer III to join their Energy team, with the flexibility to work remotely. The role involves leading AC corrosion and interference studies, developing mitigation designs, and providing technical guidance while mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead AC corrosion and interference studies using CDEGS modeling software
- Develop and review mitigation designs for pipelines and related infrastructure
- Prepare and review detailed technical reports and client deliverables
- Develop field plans and oversee field data collection efforts
- Analyze large and complex datasets to provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight
- Interface directly with clients, supporting proposals and technical discussions
- Contribute to multidisciplinary energy projects beyond AC corrosion as needed
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant corrosion engineering experience, with demonstrated experience in AC interference and mitigation
- Proficiency in CDEGS modeling software for AC corrosion studies
- Strong understanding of industry standards related to corrosion control and grounding
- Proven ability to work independently and lead technical efforts
- Strong communication skills, with experience preparing client-facing reports
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- MS in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection certification (CP1, CP2, or higher)
