Customer.io is a platform that helps over 8,000 companies send automated communications using real-time behavioral data. They are seeking an Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to connect with potential customers, qualify leads, and schedule meetings for the sales team. The role involves collaboration with marketing and sales teams to ensure high-quality leads and maintain accurate records in the CRM.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for inbound leads — understand their needs and kick off the qualification process
- Qualify leads from various sources (website, product trials, etc.) to determine fit and readiness to speak with an Account Executive
- Schedule high-quality meetings between decision-makers and our sales team
- Maintain accurate records of lead interactions and pipeline status in our CRM
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure lead quality and provide feedback to improve our process
- Follow up with prospects who have expressed interest but aren’t yet ready to move forward
- Regularly update your manager and team on pipeline health and progress toward goals
Requirements:
- Located in either United Kingdom or Ireland (hard requirement)
- Comfort talking to people and a natural ability to communicate clearly
- Resilience with rejection and the motivation to keep going
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot
- A track record of meeting goals for lead qualification and meeting scheduling
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in SaaS or tech
- Prior experience in inbound sales at a SaaS company
- Familiarity with marketing automation and lead nurturing processes
