A Square Group (ASG) is a Minority- and Woman-Owned, Physician-Owned small business with over 15 years of experience in federal government contracting. They are seeking a Business Analyst to support their federal client’s Office of the CIO by promoting IT project management best practices and supporting key workstreams related to IT governance and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of the annual project management summit and other training events to educate stakeholders on key project management topics
- Develop, update, and maintain the agency’s IT Project Management Lifecycle and Agile Management Plans
- Facilitate planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, and working sessions across multiple IT and governance initiatives
- Produce high-quality technical and business documentation for internal and external audiences
- Analyze and define processes and activities needed to improve and optimize the agency’s IT portfolio
- Provide analytic support and reporting for IT projects across the client enterprise
- Develop and support documentation related to IT strategic planning, IT governance, architecture management, and performance management
- Assess project health and support recommendations to improve the maturity and performance of IT projects
- Conduct cost, schedule, and artifact reviews for IT projects in accordance with policies and performance-based guidance
- Help improve processes for reviewing, collecting, and maintaining project management artifacts and related documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting IT services delivery or IT-focused federal programs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present information with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into clear, plain-language documentation for a range of audiences
- Experience facilitating meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional stakeholder discussions
- Demonstrated critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to apply best practices in a client-facing environment
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems proactively
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Knowledge of the HHS Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) Framework
- Experience supporting federal CIO organizations, IT governance boards, or capital planning functions
- Experience with strategic planning, IT portfolio management, software lifecycle governance, or data modernization initiatives
- Experience developing briefing materials, governance documents, SOPs, process flows, and executive-ready presentations
- Prior experience supporting HHS, CDC, or other federal health agencies
