Authority Partners is a leading global IT services company with over 27 years of experience. They are seeking a Business Analyst / Product Owner to bridge business stakeholders and technology teams, owning the product vision and execution lifecycle while delivering scalable, high-value solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis activities across the full SDLC: discovery, requirements, design, build, test, deployment, and post-release support
- Develop a deep understanding of applications, integrations, data flows, and system dependencies
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure traceability from business objectives through requirements to delivered functionality
- Support solution design by validating alignment with business goals, technical constraints, and architectural standards
- Create and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risk, and dependencies
- Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure stories are ready for development
- Lead complex requirements elicitation using interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs, and data analysis
- Document requirements using appropriate artefacts such as BRDs, FRDs, functional requirements, user stories, process diagrams, and use cases
- Manage requirement changes and dependencies across initiatives and releases
- Ensure requirements are testable and support UAT planning and execution
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to validate delivered functionality against business expectations
- Analyze end-to-end business and system processes before proposing improvements
- Understand how business processes are enabled by applications and underlying technology
- Design future-state processes and system interactions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience
- Assess impacts of changes across people, process, data, applications, and integrations
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product strategy
- Quickly assess IT environments, delivery models, and organizational maturity
- Adapt analysis techniques to Agile or hybrid delivery approaches
- Think strategically while remaining hands-on where detail is required
- Navigate ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving technical constraints
- Provide input to roadmap planning and release strategy
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and IT leadership
- Facilitate complex discussions with senior and technical stakeholders
- Bridge communication between business and technical teams
- Drive alignment between business objectives, technical solutions, and delivery timelines
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and communicated throughout the SDLC
- Monitor product performance and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement
- Champion product vision and ensure it aligns with organizational strategy
- Make trade-off decisions between scope, budget, and timelines while maximizing business value
- Coach and mentor team members in Agile and product management practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or product ownership, preferably within IT, SaaS, or digital transformation projects
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, backlog management, and cross-functional leadership
- Proven success delivering complex IT or software products end-to-end
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable product roadmaps
- Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to define meaningful metrics, analyze results, and derive actionable insights
- Proven experience conducting user research, business requirements and translating findings into clear, prioritized product requirements
- Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience integrating AI-powered features into products
- Technical aptitude with the ability to engage in architectural discussions and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments is preferred
- Experience in Digital Media Solutions is preferred
- Familiarity with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Experience with analytics tools (PostHog, BigQuery, Looker Studio)
- Prior consulting experience (preferred for contract engagements)
- Leadership in change management and scaling product practices across organizations
- Ability to prioritize, refine, and facilitate backlog items to align business goals with delivery outcomes in Agile teams
- The capability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure product success and business continuity
- A human-centered approach to problem-solving that drives innovative, desirable, and feasible product solutions
- Familiarity with process and collaboration tools such as FigJam (and similar whiteboarding or workflow tools) to support ideation, mapping, and documentation
